La coreógrafa británica Sneha Mistri ha producido su primer dvd sobre técnicas de Bollywood Dance. Dance Bollywood with Mistri saldrá a la venta el próximo jueves 15 de abril en www.mistri.tv a un precio de 20 € más gastos de envío. Por primera vez se edita en el mundo un dvd didáctico sobre Bollywood Dance con subtítulos en castellano. Dirigido tanto a bailarines profesionales como aficionados, Dance Bollywood with Mistri contiene dos coreografías diseñadas por la famosa bailarina, inspiradas en las películas de la industria de Mumbai. Una pertenece a la Danza India Clásica y la otra contiene la energía del estilo folclórico Bhangra.

British choreogapher Sneha Mistri has produced her first Bollywood Dance DVD. It will be available from the 15th April from www.mistri.tv priced at 20€ plus shipping costs. For the first time we have a DVD dedicated to the world of Bollywood Dance subtitled in Spanish. Aimed at both professional and amateur dancers, Bollywood Dance with Mistri contains two choreographies by the famous dancer, inspired by the film industry in Mumbai. The first choreography inspired by Indian Classical Dance and the other contains the high energy of the Bhangra folk style

Ambas coreografías se dividen en cuatro secciones. La primera, dedicada a los pasos básicos, contribuye a que los aficionados se preparen para mejorar su técnica. La segunda divide la coreografía en partes explicativas donde Mistri ayuda a perfeccionar los movimientos. La tercera sección contiene una serie de prácticos ensayos con acompañamientos musicales. Por último, Mistri invita al alumno a unirse en la ejecución de la actuación final. La fusión de estilos en Dance Bollywood with Mistri permite al bailarín profesional poner a punto su forma e incrementar su repertorio de Bollywood Dance.

Both choreographies are divided into four sections. The first, devoted to the basics, helps fans prepare to improve their technique. The second divides the choreography in explanatory parts where Mistri helps perfect the movements. The third section give you a chance to practice the dance with musical accompaniment. Finally, Mistri invites students to join in the "final performance". The fusion of dance, Bollywood style, with professional dancer Mistri allows you to fine-tune your form and technique and increase your repertoire of Bollywood Dance

Para entender los fundamentos del baile de Bollywood hace falta una formación en el baile Clasicó. Por primera vez, Mistri ofrece este curso empezando por los pasos y moviemientos básicos del baile Clásico.

12.00-13-30 Khathak con invitada especial, Shreya Nag. Giros, posiciones de manos y pies

13.30-15-00 Bharatnatyam con Mistri. Posiciones de manos, mudras y pies

16.00-18.00 Dos horas de baile estilo Bollywood incorporando los pasos Clásocos aprendidos anteiormente. Éstos se mezclarán con baile folklórico y moderno en una coreografía original y dinámica. Cancion: Kehna he Kya - de la peli Bombay.

Precio 60€ o 55€ si apuntas antes de 5 de abril. La plaza se reserva con un depósito de 20€

Seguro va a ser un año muy especial.....bueno espero que si ;-)
Tengo muchas planes (algunos muy grande!) y os cuento cuando tengo cosas a decir.
Como siempre podeis ver todo los horarios de cursos y talleres en España en mi pagina web.

Una cosa a confirmar ahora.....segundo semana en septiembre Sueños de Bollywood va a volver a Gran Via en Madrid por el tercero año. Que ganas que tengo....me encanta este teatro.

Una Noche de Baile con Poty

Este mes tengo la oportunidad de trabajar con Poty (Mira Quien Baila) otra vez para 2 espectaculos en el Casino Gran Madrid. Voy a hacer 2 numeros con mi bailarin Juanjo, sobre el mundo de Hollywood.

Entonces en mi estilo Bollywood, voy a interpretar "you're The One That I Want" de Grease y "I've Had the Time of My Life" de Dirty Dancing .

Que divertido.................oo oo oo honey!!!

This month I have opportunity to work with Poty again for 2 shows in the Casino Gran Madrid. Ill be doing 2 dance numbers with my dancer Jaunjo, dedicated to the world of Hollywood!!

So in my Bollywood style I have a dance to "You're The One That I want" from Grease and anotehr to "I've had the Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing.

Such fun........oo oo oo honey!!

The festival of Samarah Hayat took place last week in Sala Galileo Galilei and I was invited to perform. Its always a pleasure for me to dance in the company of fellow dancers, students and profesionals and it was the first time I met Amir Thaleb- wow. What a fantastic performer and entertainer. You cannot fault him on his technique but what he bought to the event was pure showmanship. It was a joy to watch and be part of. it was great night an I hope you all enjoyed it too.

La semana pasada actue en el Festival Samaraks 08 en Sala Galileo Galilei . Siempre es un placer para mi bailar en la compania de otros bailarines - alumnas y profesionales y tambien fue la primera vez que he visto Amir Thaleb - wow!! Un bailarin increible con un tecnico que no puede fallar. Entretenimiento total. Una noche muy buena y como yo, espero que os haya gustado tambien.

Belly Dance is so huge here in Spain and it came as a big shock to me when I arrived here 2 years ago. I guess we all want to shimmy! It seems now Bollywood is next on the list of the hot new dance style.......which of course is great for me! I can have fun, teaching, performing and smiling. What else does a girl want. I can imagine next year it will grow bigger with more people teaching this latest dance craze.

El baile de Danza del Vientre es enorme aqui en Espana y me sorprendio mucho cuando vine aqui. Claro que todo el mundo quieren shimmy...jejeje. Ahora poco a poco la moda es Bollywood......que bien para mi! Yo puedo disfrutar enseñando, actuando y sonriendo...que mas necesita una chica. Imagino que el año que viene seguira creciendo con mas gente enseñando la ultimo moda de baile.

Bollywood dance itself is such a fusion of styles that the only way to get any kind of technique is to start with the basics of Indian Classical dance (Bharantatyum/Khahak/Orissi) and then go to as many other stlyes of dance classes you can and get experience. Each Bollywood teacher has their own style, of course you can always copy from the movies which of course is fine but creating choreography is where the real fun comes in. The more dance styles you know, the easier it becomes. As long as you have your basics....then you too can be a Bollywood dance queen or king!

El baile de bollywood es realmente una fusion de muchas estilos de baile y si quieres la tecnica basica es mejor empezar con el baile classica hindu (Bharatnatyam, Khathak/Orissi) y luego ir a otras clases de baile de todos los estilos que puedas! Cada profesor/a de baile Bollywood tienen su propio estilo, claro que puede copiar los pasos de las peliculas, pero siempre es mas divertido el crear una nueva coreografia........es la verdadera diversion. Mietras mas estilos aprendas, mas facile sera.
Entonces....coges la basica...y tu tambien puedes ser una Reina/Rey de Bollywood!
